In October 2011 we launched a 500 Club to raise funds to support and improve the students’ college life. We would like to invite you to be a part of this.
Funds raised have been used to purchase two mini buses. We have also supported rugby and hockey tours; trips to Mexico and China; trips to Lourdes and immersion trips to Sierra Leone. In addition, we have renovated the bar at the college; supplied kitchen equipment to the Ridings and we have also updated the hall and stage lighting, paid for the re-upholstering of the chapel seating in Outwood 6th form centre and supplied new furniture and carpets for two classrooms. We will be helping to fund the renovation of the College library this year.
What can I win and how does a 500 club work?
Each member pays £5.00 per month by standing order and is allocated one personal number which is entered into the prize draw each month. You can buy as many numbers as you like at £5.00 each, and obviously the more members we have, the bigger the prize.
Membership is open to all families of the College (over the age of 18) as well as old Anselmians. Each month 50% of the money raised is given out as prize money and 50% used by FOSA. If we have 500 members, it would amount to £2,500 per month. £1,250 would be given as prizes, a 1st prize of £750; and two runners up prizes of £250.
