Last weekend, Charlie, Tom, James and Hugh from Year 13 completed their Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award expedition. This involved walking approximately 50 miles over 4 days, carrying all food and shelter with them. After a very wet first day, the weather improved to allow for a little sunbathing on the Saturday evening. Sunday was a tricky day, with tough navigation along footpaths that had obviously not been used much recently and tiredness setting in! Spirits were renewed as they got up early on the final day and finished in time to stop at a well-known fast food restaurant for a late lunch on the way home. Well done on a fantastic achievement.
